React Team Lead

About position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Frontend Developer, to act as a React Team Lead, and join our team in building and maintaining a large distributed application. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering the technical solution, ensuring that work is delivered on time and meets quality standards. You will be a key member of the team, working closely with the Product Owner, Project Manager, UX Lead, QA Lead, and other stakeholders to define and execute user needs and requirements.

Requirements

  • Very good English for daily communication
  • Mindset of a consultant - propose innovations, explain reasons for change, guide non-technical people
  • Ability to work with a team from the US time zone (standard work hours by 6pm CET, but longer overlap with US time helps, there are ~7 hours offset to GMT+1, so the position is more suitable for someone who likes to wake up later/not an early bird)
  • Good knowledge of Design Patterns and Architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with Functional React, Redux, Micro frontends, Webpack module federation, Server Side Rendering, Typescript, Swagger client generation, SCSS modules, and MUI

This is a 99% remote position, with attendance required for quarterly planning sessions and workshops. The position requires a US hours overlap (2-6 pm CET). The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, as well as the ability to work self-sufficiently and proactively look for solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • As the React Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a scrum team of 6 team members, consisting of developers, testers, and UX designers.
  • You will oversee the quality and timely delivery of development work, as well as take care of team members and keep project documentation updated. You will also be the center point of communication for client representatives.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for technical feasibility studies, systems impact assessments and analysis, defining and evaluating software development best practices, and mentoring the tech team at every step of the SDLC.
  • You will also ensure coding standards are followed and unit tests are written for code coverage, as well as oversee code review and dev integration testing to ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Managing technical risks and risks associated with the project and raising issues with the PM and PO will also be part of your responsibilities.
