About position

We are looking for a Lead Test Engineer to lead an approximately 8-person team responsible for advanced release software testing for automotive systems. As a Lead Test Engineer, you will manage a team responsible for planning and executing release tests for next-generation automotive platforms. The scope of work includes functional and baseline testing, issue resolution, and ensuring the highest quality of software releases.

Requirements

  • Higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in electronics, computer science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive software testing or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams.
  • Good knowledge of diagnostics, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and software download processes (OTA, VIDA).
  • Hands-on experience in test automation and scripting (Python, CAPL).
  • Familiarity with Session-Based Test Methodology (SBTM) and exploratory testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in English.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating a team of test engineers.
  • Developing and executing test plans and schedules for multiple releases throughout the year.
  • Supervising functional testing in vehicles and baseline testing in laboratory environments (boxcar).
  • Analyzing test results, validating data, and reporting outcomes.
  • Ensuring timely creation and handling of defect reports.
  • Collaborating with project managers and client engineering teams to clarify requirements.
  • Supporting automation initiatives using Python, CAPL, or C#.
  • Performing advanced diagnostics in vehicles and on test benches to determine root causes of issues.
  • Maintaining test environments, including vehicles and test setups, ensuring correct software and hardware versions.
