SQL Developer

About position

As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems. You will work closely with our software development team to ensure that the data requirements for our applications are met. Your main goal will be to optimize database performance and ensure data security.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques (e.g.such asGLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Text Mining, Social Network Analysis
  • Knowledge of Python, RandSQL
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools, e.g.Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark
  • Strong knowledge of agile working practices based on previous experience, e.g.SCRUM, SAFe
  • English B2 level

Optional

  • Familiarity with MongoDB and other NoSQL databases
  • Experience with agile methodologies, including working with management tools(Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with CICD pipelines. For example, Azure DevOps pipeline, Gitlab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience working on projects
  • Ability to analyze functionality in real-time with all necessary interventions

Your responsibilities

  • Designing and developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects to meet business requirements
  • Managing databases, including installation, configuration, backup, and recovery
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement data architecture and design
  • Developing data migration strategies and executing data migrations
  • Ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of the database systems
  • Monitoring and optimizing database performance using tools like SQL Server Profiler, Performance Monitor, and other tuning techniques
  • Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data dictionaries, schema diagrams, and entity-relationship diagrams
  • Developing and maintaining scripts for automating database-related tasks
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues
  • Maintaining knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in database management systems and data warehousing
